This works great. There are several other of this style out there so I’m not sure it’s better than any of those, but it’s certainly better than the homemade pipe jack I (reluctantly) replaced…but well worth it, this works much smoother. Seems a little pricey for a piece of plastic but what isn’t in the home gym world? Solid, easy to use, small enough to store out of the way and makes loading a bar significantly easier.

I ordered these specifically for low weight accessory work. Great deal on these @$200 the past 6 months or so as they attempt to clear stock. They only go up to 30 lbs (which is fine as I have other adjustable DB’s for regular exercises). They technically adjust in 1.25lb increments with offset loading. Great for flyes, lateral raises, etc. They adjust easily, balance well and are comfortable in hand. The heads are small enough but I do wish they were slightly smaller. I don’t baby them but am not throwing them around either. They are light enough that I don’t think you’ll need to drop them very often. Overall a good buy and a great company from my interactions with them.

I only had it for a while (Part of a package deal I got off Marketplace) and personally found it aggravated my knees. I probably could have played with it more, but had another GHD I like better so moved it on. Overall a decent unit, just wasn’t for me. Very similar to the Rep unit from the looks of it. Easy enough to move around thanks to the handles/band pegs and wheels. Reasonable size.

I picked one of these up for cheap off marketplace and at the price I got it at, I feel like it’s a decent addition to add some extra accessory work in. The lat pulldown/low row is actually fairly smooth, but I still prefer a dedicated unit. From a lever arm standpoint is it better than most things rack attached…probably yes. Although you are giving up significant real estate in your gym to support this thing. It’s easily probably 1.5 stall mats worth of space, and maybe even a little bit more with the bench attached. The arms have a little bit more play than I expected considering the retail price. Also, the fact that they don’t have a supported lever pulldown attachment for hooking into the pulley is crazy. Seems like it’s a movement that would be pretty easy for them to adapt and would make the machine more versatile. Bench storage also kind of sucks, haven’t figure out a good (easy) option for it when not in use. Just folding it up/out of the way would be nice, but that doesn’t work. Also the accessory tube off the front sticks out way too far, I’m considering just cutting it off since I don’t plan to use any of the attachments. If I had paid full MSRP for this, I would be a bit disappointed. However, if you can get one for cheap and have a room it’s not a bad piece to add some variety.

I was lucky enough to find one of these used on marketplace so I did not have to pay full price. The guy selling it was complaining about the setup process and he was spot on with that. I’d say the biggest drawback is the set up, and the space required in front of your rack in order to use the cable attachment. The whole machine when assembled is very long and if your gym is not that wide or packed with stuff, it will be difficult to maneuver. That said once set up the movement is actually pretty good. I tried it with freeweights and it was OK but with the cable attachment is where it really shines. Leg extensions are better than the curls but recommend adding a light/ extra light band to make them a bit better. Everything you read/see online pretty much is spot on. You look for somewhere to put your hands for leg curls, but there’s nothing really to grab onto. Storage is a pain and it takes up a good chunk of space. A bit of a pain to setup, but once there it’s decent. Build quality is good and it is solid/locked in under load. I got this largely on a whim out of curiosity, and it’s good, but I’m glad I got a discount on it. If you have the room, a way to attach it to a pulley system and a supported bench, it’s a decent option.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this but got a good deal and gave it a shot. I do actually really enjoy the movement but it is a very limited use piece. Lateral raises are pretty much it until some handle extensions come out. Additionally the weight horns seem very small diameter. Even using ivanko plates that fit tight on every bar I own, I managed to launch a plate off this while using it (not aggressively). Luckily it just hit my bench and not my foot or a pet. I’d be sure to throw some spring clips or similar on the end of these if you can find some that will hold. Fit and finish is about as others have stated. One of my handles was missing a bushing and one of the arms rubs on the base when folding it up for storage (removing the finish). Despite all of this, I do like the piece and will keep it around for the time being.
