Magnets might be too strong. I have put some material between them to dampen the effect. I have a difficult time getting it off with out use lots of force. I have jammed my fingers against my lat tower when I pull it off and it suddenly gives after giving a bunch of force.

I love this for my bench prop setup. A little pricy.

You should buy this and pay more for; 1. Made in USA 2. Rogue sticker. My number 2 is pealing off.

Solid for the price. Top load is so much better. But they are pain to store. One handle has signifyingly more aggressive knurling then the other.
