These are just as good as any Sorinex or Rogue, etc. straps I’ve used. They aren’t quite as polished, but they’re affordable, strong and safe. They also don’t have UFMW lining so they might scuff your uprights if that matters to you.

This is a great functional fitness/ GPP item. I got my 200lb and 400lb tires for free, so, you can’t beat that value proposition. And you can just leave them in your backyard until you’re ready to use them. Plus, my kids have always loved playing on them - my middle son and the neighborhood kids would all want rides in my 400lb tractor tire.

Initially the price seems high, but in reality the price of molding a bunch of atlas stones adds up quickly. The molds, concrete, styrofoam cores, reinforcement fibers, etc. On top of that, you obviously need to have the space to store them. Even taking that into account you are still paying a premium, but it’s worth it if you can afford in my opinion.

This was the first rack I purchased and was the start of my first garage gym back in 2018. In fact it was the only squat rack I had up until I finally sold it in 2024. I am 6’5” and for most of that time I weighed around 215lbs. On this rack I could comfortably perform pull-ups, dips, bench press, squats, and I could even use my mammoth belt squat off the side - you just have to make sure it’s weighed down appropriately for what you are doing. I think CAP says it’s rated for up to 500lbs, but the most I felt comfortable putting on it was 330lbs. Each of the uprights are 2 separate pieces bolted together, so, that can get in the way of j-cup placement when benching. During that time I was still active duty, so, another big bonus was that I could easily disassemble it and pack it into a relatively small box when we moved. Overall, I would still recommend this for a beginner lifter who is looking to start a home gym, but doesn’t want to break the bank and/or isn’t planning on lifting super heavy.

I love my Nighthawk bench. Shipping was good and assembly was quick and easy. The vinyl is high quality and grippy, it’s stable in storage and in use, I like that it has the protective liner to cover the pad when stored upright, I like all of the adjustment positions and the option for decline, I like that it can receive attachments, and I like that it can offer all of this in a relatively small footprint. Plus, it looks great - I love the knurled details with the zinc finish.

I’ve heard a lot of people knock this weight the for its design because it’s apparently based on Rogue’s original plate tree. And they say it’ll shake a little when it gets loaded up with a lot of plates. I haven’t experienced that. It holds weight, it’s stable, it was easy to assemble and it was affordable. This is the type of un-sexy equipment that you don’t want to spend a lot of money on, but shouldn’t skimp on - you want something sturdy and safe. This sacrifices the clean, polished build quality to deliver a good product at a decent price.

I buy mine from a local landscape supply/ bulk materials yard. You can buy them cheap or even find them for free depending on where you live, so, you can’t beat the value. And whether you train strongman or not, there’s something meditative about lifting natural stones. It’s also just straight up fun!

It’s a little expensive for what it is. However, I think it’s a good piece for some. In my old gym setup it worked better because I had more space so I could extend the lever and place the weight horn so it was close to the end, but not obstructing my legs. Plus, I’d stand on cinder blocks to be able to get a deep squat. And then I only used it for hypertrophy so less weight was ok (but even then it was maxed out with 45s). Now, I have less space and it’s just not realistic for me use it for accessory work during strength phases. I think this product is ideal for those who have space and primarily want to do hypertrophy training. I recommended it to my mom when they had a deal that included a free kickstand with the purchase of a mammoth belt squat and she loves it.
