The Bells of Steel Roller J-Cups are a top-tier mid-range option now that we’ve finally got them available in Australia. They’re a solid, affordable bit of kit and come with those cool little mag pins to keep everything secure. Just a heads-up: if you’re the type who obsesses over keeping your rack pristine, these might not be for you as they do scratch the uprights a bit. I still love using them on bench day to get that perfect bar position, but I tend to steer clear on squat day. They don’t rack anywhere near as easily as my sandwich J-cups, and I find myself hitting the outside metal of the cup too often when I'm gassed. For the price, though, they’re a high-value addition to the gym.

The Rogue Rubber Hex Dumbbells are absolute tanks. I’ve got a mix of other brands in the garage, but these are in a different league when it comes to toughness. I’m a bit rough on my gear and clumsy at the best of times, so adjustable dumbbells were never going to survive me. While some other brands available in Australia seem to mark and dent if you even look at them funny, these are made of a much harder, more resilient rubber. I snagged them during an Aussie Rogue sale, and the quality is so good I’m happy to pay the premium for more. I definitely drop them, especially after carries to failure, and it is bloody satisfying. They take the hit and stay in top shape every time. These are the ones to get if you want a dumbbell that actually lasts.

The Rogue Ohio Deadlift Bar is an absolute game-changer. I was lucky enough to score this one on Marketplace for 300 bucks from a legend while I was visiting Sydney, which is a massive win. After deadlifting with a standard power bar for years, the thinner 27mm shaft and that signature whip make pulling heavy much more fun. The knurling is grippy and seems bigger than the OPB, yet it's so comfortable that I’m yet to even use chalk on the heavy lift days. It lets you get a better grip and that bit of flex off the floor before the plates even leave the ground. It’s easily one of the best deadlift bar options in Australia and a permanent favourite in the rotation.

The Mutant Metals Ultimate Dip Attachment (UDA) is easily one of my favourite pieces of gear. I was lucky enough to snag it just before a random Rogue price hike, and it’s been worth every cent. I went with the stainless steel handles, and they look and feel like a total beast in the hand. It’s dead easy and quick to set up, which is exactly what you want when you’re mid-session. When I’m done, I just store it on the top corner of the rack out of the way. It’s rock solid. Even when the wife occasionally parks her car right up against the rack, this thing doesn’t budge an inch. It’s a permanent part of the setup now and I can’t see it ever leaving.

The Bullet Pulley is a winner for convenience and build quality. I was lucky enough to get this as a gift, but when I later saw the cost of shipping to Australia, I almost had a heart attack. I’ve got the older version, and while it’s solid, the newer model has guards to stop the cable from jumping off the side—a smart upgrade. To be fair, I haven't really touched the dual cables yet, but that’s just down to my PPSA programming rather than the gear itself. I use it weekly, mainly for tricep push-downs and overhead extensions. I’ve never bothered with the cheap Amazon versions, but I love this thing; it's a high-quality bit of kit that delivers a smooth feel, easy to set up without taking up half the garage.

The Rogue OSO Magnetic Barbell Collars 2.0 are a solid bit of gear for the gym, but they aren't without their quirks. The magnets are pretty average in function, especially when you compare them to other magnetic collars on the market. On my rack, one of them won't even stay put without sliding down the upright. The easy fix is just hooking it over the pull-up bar bolt, which keeps it out of the way. Despite the magnets being a bit of a letdown, they still perform exactly how you’d want a collar to on the bar. They’re a great, reliable set for daily use, just don't expect them to stick to your rack like glue.

The Bells of Steel (BoS) Seal Row Pad is a cracker of a mid-tier addition if you’re after a chest-supported row without the massive footprint of a dedicated machine. We’re stoked to finally have BoS selling directly in Australia now; it’s a high-value bit of kit that gets the job done without a premium price tag. Just a fair warning: if you’re precious about your rack’s paint job, you might want to give this one a miss as it’s a bit of a "scratch special" when you're sliding it on and off. On my metric rack, the mag pin doesn't go all the way through to secure it properly, but it’s still a solid, affordable workhorse and actually great for storage when you’re not using it. If you don't mind a few character marks on your uprights, it’s a winner for the home gym.

The REP Safety Squat Bar is an absolute lifesaver on alternate leg days. It’s the perfect way to give your shoulders and wrists a break from the standard barbell while still absolutely torching your quads. The padding is top-notch and the balance is spot on, which makes it awesome for Good Mornings and Reverse Lunges since it stays planted on your back without you having to death-grip the handles. We’re lucky as that Gym and Fitness stocks these in Australia, because shipping from overseas is a killer. This thing is built like a tank and is so tough it'll never end up on Facebook Marketplace while I’m still drawing breath. It’s a permanent fixture in the rack.
