I bought the 70s and immediately regretted it since I had them maxed on day one. Added the upgrade kit a couple of months later. I think the only thing to review here is the upgrade experience, since the upgrade kit is just 3 more plates for each side of the DBs. It's smooth. You ned to unscrew the cradle from the stand (if you have it), remove one screw from the bottom of the stand to be able to remove a spacer piece, and then put the new weights in place and screw the cradle back to the stand.

Bought these as a replacement for my old bowflex DBs. Love them. The build quality is really good. I have never dropped them, but fully believe they could handle a drop without breaking, the handle knurling is reasonably sticky, more so than cheaper pairs of DBs. I really like that these feel like real DBs (no giant mechanism poking out the side at small weights, for example), but the downside of the mechanism is that it is easy to seat them in the cradle with a gap and have to pick up and reseat. Not a huge problem, just a little annoyance, but the upside is that this mechanism makes these about the same size as fixed DBs once in use, there's little to them except metal plates. I got these as the 70s and later upgraded to the 100s. The upgrade process was smooth and fast. The one downside is that the weight jump is 10 lbs, and at a $850+tax price point currently, adding another $100+tax for the 2.5 lbs plates takes this out of the great value category.

I bought this as I have been working my way up a stack of blobs. Surprisingly hard to lift, I have pretty average sized hands and the challenge isn't necessarily just the weight of this thing but that is the size of a half hundred blob and it's just plain hard to get a grip

These were never in my vintage iron wish list, but I saw an inexpensive FBM post and was opportunistic about it. They cleaned up real good, and are really cool plates. Downside is that they're pretty inaccurate, neither of mine are within a pound of 45.

I think the key here is that I'm not a heavy kettlebell user, so I love this as a way of me getting an adjustable kettlebell set at a low price. The good: The outer shell is powder-coated, and the kettlebell comes close to the shape of a competition kettlebell. The bad: The weight selection mechanism feels cheap af. It's definitely going to break. That said, I'm not a heavy kettlebell user, so it's probably going to outlast me? Overall that's where I'm at. I can handle jiggling a crappy plastic weight adjuster for the once a week I do KB swings or whatever, and it gives me easy access to KB weights in the 20-40lbs range. That said, if I were somebody who trained kettlebells regulraly I wouldn't go here. For me this is pretty much the definition of "Value 5/5" and "Build Quality 2/5".

I bought this after looking at the Porter Eclipse and ultimately being unable to justify that price for a single handle. Knurling is really nice, it's surprisingly heavy, and it gets a lot of use on my cable machine.

These were one of the two plates that got me into picking up vintage plates for my gym (along with the Dan Luries with the giant lettering). The cursive design just looks good, which probably adds like 10 lbs to most lifts. Edit: these came sandblasted, I just got done refinishing then. Photo added Got a set that was just sandblasted via a collector on FBM who planned to repaint them but got too busy. I like to keep original paint where possible, but not an option this time. One review above says these sometimes originally came in blue and ivory, I might take a shot at that as a break from everything else being so black.

I picked this fella up off FBM for cheap. Little to add except that it's sturdy, not going to fall over, and keeps 6 medicine balls out of my way. Looks like it's about $170 new at the moment, so not super expensive either.
