This thing is amazing. I really mostly got it because I couldn’t fit a traditional cable stack tower or anything like that in my low ceiling basement. Still didn’t necessarily “need” it. I was doing tricep extensions with bands before I got it. Regular barbell curls etc. I was considering getting a pulley system like dialed motion or something, but didn’t really like the idea of cluttering my rack up like that as I already have a small space. Anyways, I got the voltra on Black Friday with some discounted attachments, the adaptive bar mount, some D handles, and a short straight bar cable attachment. The voltra is extremely effective, space saving, impressive. Quality is actually really nice. Resistance feels more difficult than some equivalent poundage in free weight. I use it for single arm chest flys, weighted dips, reverse curls with extra resistance in the shortened position to bias the brachioradialis. Probably gonna drill a hole in the bottom 2x3 crossmember tube of my flat foot half rack so I can do cable weighted pull-ups. Quicker and easier than loading up plates onto the dip belt

Got this because it would fit in my basement storage room that has 76” ceilings. I saw on a YouTube video it could be converted into a half rack. It’s really stout, looks great. The only thing that sucks sometimes is feeling limited with attachments potentially especially with the 6” spacing of the holes on the side of the uprights. If I could do it all over again, I might get a 73” tall Manticore rack from Bells of Steel so I can use strap safeties. There are some unique interesting applications of the flat foot nature of this squat stand/ half rack setup if you use a voltra. I can put the 3x3 Darko mount on the bottom feet with a 1/2” shim and use it for weighted cable dips, curls etc.

Good packaging, decent price. Easy to assemble. Good build quality, very versatile. I use it on my rep nighthawk bench. The pop pin hole doesn’t align, but I just tighten it down with the knob and it works fine. With heavier weight you have to put some plates or a big kettlebell on the other end of your bench so that it doesn’t tilt up when you lift. Besides preacher curls, I use it as a military bench back pad so I can get my head out of the way on shoulder press

Got 2 two of these to attempt using for a makeshift 45 degree back extension, and possibly leg holders for lay pulldowns. Chose these because they were the only 5/8” leg roller attachment I could find that didn’t have a huge bracket taking up a lot of space on the upright. They feel like very good quality, good shipping, good price. Recently actually tried the 45 degree back extension application and it was alright. Could potentially use a more beefed up pad, but I need to dial in the set up a little better and I put a yoga mat around the leg roller on my thighs and that helped. Using two for a lat pull down leg holder set up isn’t perfect either but could work. There’s just a gap between the two

Used it to Frankenstein a flat foot 72” tall half rack from my rogue SML-1 squat stand. Works extremely well for this, especially if you have low ceilings. Weight storage on the back and a pull up bar help keep the whole thing sturdier. Haven’t had any problems. If I knew back then what I know now, I would have probably got a 6 post Bells of Steel 72” tall rack with strap safeties. But there are certain applications of the flat foot half rack I enjoy utilizing with my voltra. I use the 3x3 Darko voltra mount, with a half inch shim on the 2x3 flat foot tubing extending past the front uprights to do weighted dips, reverse curls, I’ve done rows, box squats, calf raises like this

Slightly less height than the rogue 3 bar gun rack, which allowed me to fit it in a smaller space low on the wall, between some shelves and the floor. I was impressed by the beefy, stout quality of the piece. Bells of steel accidentally sent me their 43” Ez curl bar instead of the 3 bar gun rack when I ordered first ordered. I let them know and they offered to pay for shipping and let me return the EZ curl bar, or keep it for 50% off, and it was on sale at the time, which made it $53. I kept it and consider it my curl bar fairy gift
