When I dinged up my shoulder and needed to start band work for my rotator these made it much more pleasant. Knurling is passive but does the trick. Smooth edges, I see no wear on my bands from using them over the last year

These are such a strange accessory, I am always finding new ways to use them. The carabiners aren’t the best quality but the physical clip is great. If you have Voltras and want to digitally load some plate loaded machines these are a simple way to do that. A chest press with isokinetic resistance is a beautiful thing.

These things work as intended but the foam padding inside the handle isn’t stitched, it’s glued. If you actually grip these with a closed fist the foam will start to separate.

My review on these Is slightly biased as I’m using these with repins, but I think the idea is slightly flawed, if you hang these off a barbell to start then you need to either roll your wrist forward or backward to unrack and clear the bar on every rep, if you’re going heavy enough to need these in the first place, rolling forward is a recipe for pancake face and if they are the other way rolling back means you need to be deep in the rack to be behind the bar and your elbow will tag the upright. So the only way I’ve found is to position myself backwards under the bar in relation to the j hooks and unrack off the back side. Maybe I’m just struggling due to being over 6’ tall with a positive Ape index and a narrow REP rack. Combining these things with rolling repins to threads these through the cage and they just don’t get used much.

I really like this gripper first of all, I work construction and turn wrenches so I’ve always had a reasonably strong grip. I can’t close the last adjustment on this. I like that each adjustment is an actual notch instead of a thumb screw, makes it easier to keep track of strength progression if you start taking grip training seriously (me when deadlifts start failing on grip). I don’t particularly care for the little plastic stop they include but the handle extensions leave room for finding a comfortable way to attack it.

I wanted to get my isolator out of the rack since it’s a 4 post due to overhead beams in my basement gym, this solution works but I’ve had to rig up methods for keeping the thing from walking across the room under use. The feet on it also fall apart, I’m actively looking for other solutions.

Just got this in this week, it’s really high quality and the geometry allows it to be used in a variety of ways. The integrated carabiner hole is nice for using pulleys. It is too tight to fit the upright on a bulletproof solo stand but it fits my PR5000 perfectly.

These take up very little vertical space, they can be set lower than standard spotters, they fit a bit loose on the PR 5000 rack but not excessively, the shim kit sold by surplus strength isn’t very good. I am still researching other options on that front. The only spotters I’d even consider replacing these with are those new mythical ones with the 1” adjustments.
