This is my first double-sided jack and I really like it so far. Very easy to boost up the bar compared to my smaller single sided jack, and the rollers are a big help to center the bar. I seem to be incapable of putting deadlifts back down where i picked them up, so. Not super expensive either

First impression only- I will update after I have used this for a few workouts. Shipping was very quick and the pieces were extremely well packaged. Assembly was very easy and the included instructions were among the best of any product I've ever had to put together. The machine is very sturdy, although it's obviously a budget piece with lower grade materials. I don't say that as a bad thing though. I paid around $800 and the other alternative that I considered was Temple of Gainz which is about triple the price. There's a reason for that; thicker steel, etc. Using it, the motion feels very natural and there is no wobble or instability- at least so far at low weight. Very good first impression, hopefully I will have another update soon talking about how i have finally gotten strong. UPDATE- I'm still not strong but not because of anything wrong with this machine. I can't say I've put a ton of weight on but that's because it is hard as hell. Full sessions have felt great, I mean not great, but you know. It's humbling, as the saying goes. I'm very glad I went with this over a leg press- no strain on my back and the movement feels much better on my knees. I also was able to tuck it into a weird corner in my gym so I'm getting maximum use out of my space. Highly recommend

This is a product that would be extremely useful for some people but might end up being totally useless for others. They work well for what they do, so if you do a lot of heavy dumbbell presses and get the hang of the setup you will probably like the functionality. For my current situation, I use loadable dumbbells above 50 pounds, so it's nice not to have to jam the ends into my knees and kick them up. But in the future when i complete my set up to 100 i will probably never use these. Not too expensive though to have on hand even if they are only rarely used.

Somehow I never got around to getting one of these until recently, but a quick trip to Walmart and all of a sudden I am actually finally doing something to improve my grip. So far I've been doing a basic 5ish minute workout each day and it's amazing the pump you get in the forearm. I also think my fingers and wrists are feeling a bit less stiff. Planning on adding some other grip work but this is a super easy and cheap way to get it going.

Like lots of others, I was reluctant to spend the money for a real platform and so went the DIY route. This is the third or fourth platform I've made over the years and on this one I took some shortcuts because I've realized that certain things don't really matter that much. As long as you're stacking up plywood and have some rubber on top you'll be fine. I also have a layer of foam tiles underneath mine to try and dampen the vibrations. Without it even a very light deadlift makes it seem like our house is going to collapse.

I freely admit that I am not a barbell scientist and have not used nearly as many as some of my home gym brethren. Having said that, I absolutely cannot imagine what else you could need in a power bar. The knurling feels great and is significantly more aggressive than my cerakote OPB. The construction is very high quality with sleeves that spin incredibly smoothly. And it only cost 120 bucks brand new!

Got this used for fifty bucks- no telling how old it is but it's still sturdy and relatively stable when i use it. There is some wiggle where it adjusts but nothing that makes me feel unsafe. I haven't lifted heavy weights off of it yet but will update if anything seems like it's bending. The height adjustments work well for me (around 6 foot), and definitely would work well for anyone shorter. Not sure about taller people though. If you find one cheap and need a back extension, it seems like a good choice.
