Over all I’m happy with them. They just have that classic “Weight Plate” look when people think of weight plates. All of mine came within tolerance and get the job done. The fit and finish is not consistency between plates, but over, all for the cost of these plates I’m not upset with them. A few of them have cosmetic issues such as pitting on the back, or what appears to be some sort of fill added to fix some voids in the mold, then painted over. Eventually I’d like to upgrade plates, but as of right now I can’t justify it. They are better than cheaper plates like CAP or others you might find on Amazon, but falls somewhere in the lower middle range of weight plate. For the price they were hard to beat at the time of purchase, but just like everything else prices on them have increased since buying them. I would buy a few more to start consistent with my plates so they match. Honestly, for a home gym these are just fine and like I said get the job done.

For the money, this is a great addition to any cable system. I’ve used some at gyms that were of lesser quality and didn’t feel as good. The REP Curl bar is one of the staples in my home gym. It’s got a good knurling to it. The bar isn’t fixed into place at the attachment point, so it moves pretty smooth. I like to use this bar for tricep push/pull downs, curls, straight arm push downs, over head tricep extensions, and in a pinch you could use this for medium and close grip lat pull downs. Over all I’m happy with this attachment. There is a little pitting on the metal up near the swivel point, but it doesn’t effect the functionality.

Over all I really like the Wide Mag Attachment. Sometimes it feels a little too wide and prefer the medium grip, but just like other attachments it’s about different widths, grips and angles, I really like the “MAG Grips” as most people call them. Build you set slow so the sticker shock doesn’t get you if you buy a full set all at once. I prefer these over the cheap knockoffs people buy on Amazon. I like to support the original creators when I can. These are another tool in the toolbox that helps you build your body. I’ve uploaded a picture of all 3 sizes I have to show the size differences.

I was asked what I wanted for Christmas one year so I said a neutral close grip MAG attachment. However when the gift giver placed the ordered they accidentally ordered the Close Grip Pronated. I didn’t have the heart to tell them it was the wrong one, as I we still very happy with it. After I got it in the gym and put it to use I really liked it!! In fact I was glad I didn’t get the neutral grip as it felt great and just like my other pronated grip, you can flip it around and hack a supinated grip as well. Over all I’m extremely happy with it! The build quality is great and I’d recommend it!

If you’re going to buy a Lat pulldown attachment, I would recommend this one! I have a Wide, Medium pronated, and Close grip pronated. The Medium just feels the best and is what I use the most. The wide feels a little too wide at times, and I’m a big guy. If you’re smaller I could see it being too wide. The medium just hits the lats well. I like these over regular lat pull down bars as it targets the lats better (at least I feel it more) and takes grip and forearms out of the equation. They are expensive if you’re building a full set all at once, but picking up a MAG attachment here and there it’s not that big of a deal. I would pick up these over a cheap knockoff on Amazon even if you can get a full set for cheaper. These also feel great for seated rows! A little hack, if you flip them around it’s similar to a supinated grip, but slightly different. Just to change it up.

I really like this loading pin. It’s high quality and weights 3.5lbs. I like how it has the grip genie logo etched into the side and with the chrome. Plates go on smooth and it just looks slick.

I tried a Rogue Grandfather Clock grip lift and was already buying a couple other things from Grip Genie so I bought the Hilt as well. I really like it. Well made and great grip tool!

I got the 25L GoRuck Rucker 4.0 after using an old back pack for two summers. The old back pack got the job done, but switching over to the Rucker was a huge improvement. The build quality is a lot nicer than a regular back pack and should last a really long time, which makes the price tag a little more bearable. It has high quality zippers and the straps are padded nicely and digs into your shoulder a lot less than the cheap straps on an old backpack. The two padded weight pockets keeps the plates close to the body and prevents them from moving around as you ruck. There is a large dark reflective strip in the back that allows you to be visible by cars as you ruck at night. The Rucker 4.0 has drain holes built in the bottom to prevent water retention during GoRuck events where water is involved. There is no exterior pockets and the interior pockets are held together with hook and loop Velcro instead of zippers. This can be annoying to use those pockets. However, I added some admin zipper strips from condor to as the zipper functionality back. It works great for tossing my keys and phone into without having to rip the Velcro open each time before and after a ruck. Just don’t forget your stuff is in there before doing and movements that would get them smashed by the weight of the plate. I wish there was an external water pocket for bottles, but you can add a water bladder to the inside. I usually just toss my bottle inside. The cost on the Rucker is more approachable than some of their other bags, but it’s still a lot for a “back pack” that add weight too. Speaking of weight. Their plates are great but really expensive for what they are. I was able to buy a “signature fitness 45lb cast iron plate” for around $53 vs the $125 (+tax & shipping). The off brand 45lb plate fits snugly in the long weight pocket. So it does the job for a fraction of the cost.
