AB-3000 2.0 FID Adjustable Weight Bench

AB-3000 2.0 FID Adjustable Weight Bench

The AB-3000 is known as the best-value, adjustable, FID bench for home gyms -- and it just got better with a new, upgraded look and feel in the AB-3000 2.0. This bench is a high-quality option for lifters looking for a rock-solid, flat-incline-decline bench. Built-in leg rollers and an adjustable pin assure you’re comfortable and secure in the decline position. When not in use, you can move and lock the leg rollers back for better clearance. In addition, the AB-3000 2.0 has eight back pad angles (-12, 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 70, and 85 degrees), many of which are different from the original AB-3000 for more user-friendly positioning. The ladder-style back adjustment allows you to change the angle instantly, and it’s easy to pick your angle using the laser-cut numbering along the ladder. It is also quieter, as the updated ladder features noise dampeners. The seat pad also has five different angles (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 degrees). The AB-3000 2.0 features updated front and rear bases with rubber covers to better grip and protect the floors. The rear base is wider to provide more side-to-side stability and allows REP® Ares™ attachment 2.0 users to position the bench deeper into the rack. This enables a better incline and flat bench press experience.

It's a very solid bench in use very stable, and I really like the pad and vinyl. However, it doesn't store vertically, and there's a small gap between the seat and back pad. The gap is small enough that I can fit completely on the back pad when flat benching, so it isn't an issue for me personally

Bench is fine but I've got a few issues with it and I'd recommend buying a different bench. The leg roller can get in the way during bench and other exercises, I had that it doesn't come off. This bench also does not have vertical storage. Overall its fine and I don't mind using it, I just wouldn't choose it especially with all of the options out there today.

The Rep Fitness AB-3000 2.0 FID Adjustable Weight Bench is a good value , holds up to heavy bench press, including incline bench. The grip on the bench is great, easy to lock in and not slide.

This is still my recommendation for best entry level bench 4 years later. There are many versions of this bench, but REP vinyl and customer service put this over the top. I tore the ladder sound dampeners up using it. REP is the type of company who stocks that part, and sent it to me for free under warranty. The build quality is great. The powder coat is thick. The padding and vinyl is the best in the business...certainly at that price point. It's a tad heavy for some, and there's badge on the vinyl seam that rusts some. Neither has been an issue for me though.

Honest take, this is my first bench. Not much experience to compare it against but it hasn’t let me down or felt lacking. Heavy and stable. Pad is nice quality, comfortable and just enough grip. Angle of adjusts is a nice touch, especially allowing decline bench or decline sit ups. Glad I didn’t go with a different style that lacks adjustment or prevents decline. Only negative and I’m not sure it’s truly a negative is the leg/foot attachment isn’t exactly functional for anything other than decline sit ups.

I’ve been using the AB-3000 2.0 bench for a while now and honestly I love it. It feels incredibly solid and stable during workouts, whether I’m benching heavy or doing incline work. The adjustments are quick and easy, and it just has that high-quality feel the moment you use it. What really stands out to me is how comfortable and sturdy it feels compared to cheaper benches I’ve owned in the past. No wobbling, no annoying movement — just a reliable bench that makes workouts feel better. It also looks great in the gym and feels like commercial equipment without taking up a ridiculous amount of space. REP really knocked it out of the park with this one. Definitely one of my favorite pieces of equipment I’ve purchased.

Build quality is great, vinyl is grippy and comfortable, adjustments are a piece of cake. Only wish is vertical storage was possible as the footprint is huge.

It’s a great intro bench. While doing kneeling moves on the bench there is more wiggle than I’d like.

This bench is an absolute workhorse in my gym. Used with almost every workout. No wobble at all when mounted in the incline position and absolutely rock solid when flat. Someday I hope to get a fixed bench press but until then this works great inside my rack. I have benched 375 on this with no issues at all.
