I've got about a 100lbs of these 10lb old york standard plates in varying conditions. I will restore them if they get too rusty otherwise I try to keep as is. These are great for adjustable dumbbells. I am a big fan of older York gear so very biased towards it. These are well worth saving and picking up at yard sales.

Rock solid, easily obtained for good prices on FB MP, and just cool to look at a little hard to handle larger weights, due to flat design, but they are great.

I absolutely love these. I have the wide letter 50’s and want to get a full set. Use these and my paramount standards on my leg extension machine and my standard bar. They’re hard to grip but are just so classic and cool!

I use the York vintage standard plates on my Titan Fitness vice grip trainer because that is the weight size it accepts. I love lifting with them and they can be affordably purchased on FB Marketplace.

This was the very first weight plate set that I got for Christmas as an 7th grader about 4 decades ago. Along with a York weight tree and basic “adjustable” bench. We had an unfinished portion to our basement that I hung a heavy bag, hung a pullup bar on a steel girder and created my first home gym as I was reading books on Franco Columbo, Frank Zane, Arnold, Lou, Robbie, Tom Platz, etc. - the legendary OGs of that Era of bodybuilding. This set, undoubtedly exists in someone’s home still as these will last forever. 1” plates aren’t as practical now and I’d never suggest anyone picking up a set over Olympic plates. But these hold a lot of sentimental meaning - reminding me of my upbringing, starting my lifting journey and getting me strong for grade school and the beginning of high school football. Even in high school, despite us having our school gym to train at, I still would mess around on weekends and off days in my basement with this 1” set.

Excellent old iron, often heavier than face value. I had a pair of York "75lb" standard plates bored to 2" and they STILL weigh over 80 lb each; perfect for deficit deadlifts or barbell rows. I have a stack of these old York standards for use on the plate loaded leg extension and they are just generally great for a variety of uses. These are frequently available for 50 cents/pound or less on FMP.

Just a nice old plate that I use on one of my machines that takes a 1" hole plate. Does its job like it has for years.

Collecting older plates to display. Starting off small, but I can see myself getting pulled in. Enjoying the search.

I have accumulated a good sized collection of vintage York standard plates. Don't ever use them since they are standard size but man do they look cool. This pair of 50s dont see much use other than sitting on the back of my leg extension machine and boy do they do a good job of holding it down, look badass doing it as well.

I have a bunch of York standards in my gym. They are great and just what you would expect from York.
