About the Gym
This version of our gym was designed around flexibility. Sliding accessory and mirror panels let me use the walls without permanently dedicating them, and they can be repositioned as equipment and layouts change. The total gym and treadmill can collapse toward the wall opening the space for vehicle access when needed. That same flexible approach carries through the flooring, lighting, storage, and wall systems. I wanted a full-featured gym without permanently converting the garage in a home I intend to sell. The setup can adapt to future equipment, be rearranged without starting over, and be removed in less than a day leaving nothing but some nice Ambrosia Maple stringers for the next owner. Highlights: -75% is a drop safe zone. Two growing sons plan. -Gridwall storage. Far more flexible than pegboard and more affordable overall. -Multiposition water heater nook cover with backside storage. -Barndoor rails for sliding mirrors and Gridwall panels. I moved pegboard 1x before I scrapped the pegboard solution and went with walls I can change in 10 minutes. -Speakers, I like my music. -Director's chair, sit too low and you'll stay there.
