About the Gym

My gym lives in a small one-car garage, which means every piece of it has to earn its space. In theory we still park a car in there. In practice, I'll be honest, we hardly ever do. Either way the rule holds: everything I own has to fold, rack, or hang on a wall when it isn't in use. That constraint has made me picky in a good way. If it can't be stored flat against a wall or rolled out of the way on wheels, I'll probably pass. I also have an irrational preference for gear made in the USA. It isn't always the rational buy, but it gives me a deeper connection to the equipment in my home. The rest is just for fun. Colored lights, a disco ball, and a room that feels like the coolest place in the world to be at 5AM.
