Does the job for ab exercise (torture) when it is needed.

It's a hollow one so may not be the best pick for those who will be deadlifting a lot with it or dropping heavy overhead presses. As many others have added tape as a marker for hand placement or spacing I have done that as well.

My favorite barbell, a lot of grip on this thing! It might last longer than me.

It gets the job done. I'm not throwing really heavy weights overhead so it meets my needs.
