If you are looking for a nice big stretch on pressing movements or a bar for better rom on seal rows, this is your jam. This really engages the pecs on bench and incline and I prefer it to dumbbell pressing. The only issue I have with this bar is that the sleeves are incredibly smooth and slightly undersized in diameter, which I don’t like for solo benching without collars. The weights slide around a bit.

So, I didn’t buy this for the slant bit. I was looking for a more economical alternative to DC Blocks for elevated exercises and pulls and these are perfect for that purpose. The platforms lock together solidly. The slant board has skateboard tape for traction. But the flat platforms are pretty grippy with sneakers. The weight rating isn’t at DC levels, but more than enough for me.

I love this functional trainer! But it was pricey. Very smooth and comes with REP’s handles with great knurling. The Arcadia max is wide enough for a chest fly and the metal pegboard takes standard hooks. The weight stacks are plenty heavy for me for anything upper body. The pull-up bar was quite difficult to attach solo (as they say in the instructions.

It’s a $400 leg extension/leg curl. Outstanding value. Ergonomics and resistance curve are awesome. Can get a big stretch in both modes, though the crossbar gets in the way at the bottom of the leg extension. The seat is a little wiggly and the pop pin isn’t great, but once you lock in with your arms, there’s no movement during the exercise. The foot pad seems a bit wimpy and could deviate from being square over time, but not so far for me.

Unfortunately, if you add the adapter to your buzzsaw bench, it makes the bench even heavier and nearly immovable. You have to remove the handle to install it too. Before I got a separate leg extension and curl machine, I used the leg attachment and it did the job well, though the round pad under the knee is a bit uncomfortable (the new standard…rep and others…seems to be a flat pad). I now use the adapter and preacher pad as a separate unit mounted on a piece of plywood. I doubt I’ll ever attach this setup to the bench again. If you are looking to add a bunch of attachments to your bench, I’d look at different ecosystems that are less bulky.

Sturdy. And heavy. Vinyl is grippy and the seat is long. My only gripes are that there isn’t a decline and that the accessory system is clunky and even more heavy (but I’ll review that separately).

Originally bought the plate loaded version and later upgraded to the selectorized. Stack is nice and heavy. Assembly instructions are garbage, but you can get through it. Good quality and smooth movement, though you will need to tweak things (bolt tightnesses on pulleys) to maximize feel. Unit is light enough that if you try to do a heavy vertical pull from the lower pulley, the unit must be bolted down (but who does that?). It would be nice to have a 5 or 2.5 pound incremental weight integrated into the stack, but a gym pin works well enough. Good value for money, despite the tariff noise. Just wait for a sale and save a couple of hundred.
