My DIY reverse hyper mounts to a rack and swings down when not in use. It works great and takes up minimal footprint. To be fair though I don’t often use the reverse hyper but when I do, I’m glad I have it!

Kegs are often found free or worst case just to pay the deposit on a rental. Add a rubber fernco cap (usually 1-1/2”) and a couple bags of sand from Home Depot (and maybe a funnel!) and you have a great strongman implement for about as cheap as you can get.

I’ve had two versions of a DIY chalk bowl and the second is by far the best. Version 1 was a ground tamper with a cheap metal bowl screwed to it. It worked but was very wobbly and looked very DIY. Rating: performance 4, value 4, build quality 3. Overall 3.66 Version 2 is a York Barbell squat stand cleaned up and fitted with a heavy duty stainless steel bowl mounted with a solid pipe fitting and bolts. It’s heavy duty and a cool mix of vintage and modern aesthetic.

These are solid 2x3 safety spotter arms and fit on my Titan T-3 uprights. I liked that Fringe’s website even specifically called out that compatibility. It has UMHW on all the surfaces your barbell could touch. Looks like there’s lots of ways to lock it in to the rack from the front or side. Only small gripe is that the Titan version has a little angled ramp up toward the upright which seems like a nice face save and the Fringe doesn’t. It’s probably not actually necessary but I would prefer if it was there.

Had the no longer available 2x2 with 5/8" hole (Titan X-2) version of these these for my 2x2 rack for several years. Didnt have clean welds or anything but they worked great, I liked how skinny they were

I really liked this bar when it first came out. Great value at only $100 at the time it came out. Decent powder coat but the chrome sleeves were great and uncommon for specialty bars. I only upgraded in order to get a cambered option for rows

I had one of the original versions of this bench with the slicker pad material. The wide seat pad often got in the way or at least made things awkward during incline work. It was nice to have the decline option but I’be since upgraded to a competition fat bench and a rep AB-3100.

A perfect reminder that weight is in fact an just a number with no vibes, while on the other heavy is relative and individual.
