These are bombproof and well made, and if you see yourself lifting inside the rack they're a no-brainer upgrade over the standard pin pipe safeties. The one caveat is that if you plan to lift outside the rack, or if your rack is deep enough to fit safety spotter arms, you're probably better off going that route so you have both options.

I don't know anything about kettlebells, other than the fact that I guess I'm supposed to have some in my gym. In all honesty, kettlebells are my least favorite strength implement, so take this review with a grain of salt. I bought a collection of these primarily because they're made in the USA and look beautiful. I've also used them to anchor a sunshade on my patio from time to time. OK, I have used them periodically for actual strength movements, but not enough to know how they stack up against other options. My only observation is that the grip does feel a little slick. Maybe that's user error on my part and I'm supposed to be using chalk, but I've wondered if powder coat is a more usable finish over the long term.

I have the OG Kabuki version and have enjoyed the variations it's opened up in my gym. I picked mine up used, so the value proposition might not line up if you're comparing cambered multi-grip bars head to head, but I have nothing but praise for the sticky powder coat finish, quality construction, and balance of this bar.

Picked this up as a boneyard deal with chrome sleeves and a bare steel shaft. It's a great introductory weight for kids while still being rackable, but it's also been a time saver for my wife, who often jumps back and forth between lifts during a workout.

I don't know very much about barbells, but I know I love this one. Maybe my mind would be blown if I tried another general-purpose bar, but in my experience this one has been perfect. OK, maybe one caveat. Rogue has tightened the tolerances on this bar for quieter performance since I bought mine six years ago, so if keeping the noise down in your home gym is a priority, that's a good argument for buying new instead of used. Other than that, nothing but love for this bare steel classic.

We've had this in our gym for five years and it's been perfect. Depending on your climate, the bare steel might take too much work to maintain, but where we live it's been close to effortless.

The best part is being able to quickly remove the sleeves, which makes it much easier to store and move around in a small space. I've also appreciated the adjustability and the range of squat mechanics you can dial in within seconds. The long handles haven't bothered me or my short queen wife, though that seems to be a common complaint from others. In short: this is definitely worth taking a shot on if you can pick it up used. If you're buying new, you might want to try one first before making the commitment.

I ended up finding these most useful for mounting to a stringer on the wall. They're shorter than you might expect, so if you're planning on mounting more than a few plates, you'd definitely want the long version.
