Ever hear of a beater bar? It’s the piece of crap in the corner that everyone beats up, bends, etc. That is the end game of this bar, right out of the wrapper. It’s isn’t particularly good at anything, but it’s not so terrible as to be overlooked. It’s a cheap price point for a no frills, gets you lifting barbell. The “load rating” is a joke. I sold mine still in one piece but we put a wobble right out of the wrapper at our local Y that thought these could survive a commercial setting.
My take - if you need a bar, and don’t want tetanus, and you need it fast and cheap - great pick. For anything else, step up to a better bar.
It’s in the mono hooks of my old Edge Fitness monolift prototype
