These were my first adjustable dumbbells. Ultimately got rid of them. I have read that there is a recall on the ones I had because weights could fall off during use, never happened to me but motivated me to get rid of them. I also read that they break easily. I never had any unexpected drops with mine, although did bail from a couple failed benches. Mine didn't break, but I always worried they would. I think the big weakness is the whole mechanism. It's constructed such that even if you lift the minimum weight, the dumbbell has to bring its whole frame with it, so is probably poking 8-10" out on both sides of your hands. Gives some weird momentum.

Purports to turn any dumbbell into a kettlebell. I don't think it really does that, but it's a great piece of equipment. The reason I say that is simply that a dumbbell is not the same shape as a kettlebell, and very many kettlebell exercises just won't work with a large dumbbell poking out from the sides. I use an adjustable dumbbell, so the amount of length coming out the sides of the handle is generally pretty large That said, this gets a ton of use in my workouts because it works great for KB swings (you may just need a slightly wider stance), and that's an exercise I program frequently. It's always just faster to clip this onto a DB than it is to dig up a kettlebell.

This thing looks like an honest to God monstrosity. If you have one of those elegant, minimalist workout spaces this will wreck your day That said, it gets a lot of ironmaster attachments stored vertically. You'll have to do a bit of work to Tetris all your attachments on there since not everything will fit in every port, to and there are a few extensions (hyperextension attachment, I'm looking at you) that just don't go on. Once you solved the what goes where problem, though, excellent piece of gym organization equipment

I really like this calf raise. Is it expensive compared to a couple of 2x4s? Yep. That said, I would buy this again in a heartbeat. The curve feels really good on the feet, and feels like I spend more time focusing on my calves than on my for position relative to a sharp corner. The material grips great, the height is enough that I get to fill stretch.

Chunky, well built seat. It's annoying to move so I put it on a lone upright (with my BoS shoulder boulder) and leave it there. Gets a lot of use for rear delt flyes, and seal rows. If I didn't have the space to leave this permanently installed, it would probably never get any use at all because it is unwieldy, but since I don't have to move it, it's great. I saw in another review that somebody mentioned flipping the pad so the rounded piece is up where your shoulders are when doing seal rows. Interesting idea that I'm going to try. I'm not super small (5' 9"), but I definitely feel my shoulders on the edge of the pad when I'm doing seal rows.

I used to have a plyo box, but at even its smallest side, 18", I would just hit my head on the ceiling when I stood on it. That was a buying mistake. Now I have this step, it works fine for my needs. It adjusts low, and my knees are dust so I'm never doing heavy plyometrics. They say not to put more than three risers per side under the box. I use 4 per side regularly and it feels stable enough (and is probably 16"), but I probably just voided a warranty or something by admitting that. Bear in mind that this is always going to be a lot shorter than a plyo box, especially if you follow safety instructions. I use them for a handful of things: Elevated pushups, step up and down, primarily. They get the job done. Also my three year old does "leg day" with me, which entails jumping off this step over and over again. Would i step on them carrying something really heavy, or go slamming onto them with my full weight? Absolutely not, but I still get some use from them.

Is there any real way I can justify having a row of expensive, rusted, dumbbell parts in my gym? Absolutely not. I could achieve something similar with an eye hook, a chunk of 2x4 and a loadable weight pin (which I also have). Do I love these dearly and use them to motivate getting my grip strength stronger? Yes I do. 10/10 item. Very cool.

I have the MXSelect adjustable dumbbells (which go up in increments of 10 lbs) with their 5 lbs fractional plates. Added these to the mix to allow me to do 2.5 lbs increments. Work great. It gets a bit tight when I need to use both sets of fractional weights (the MXSelect 2.5s alongside these to get to a weight like 17.5), but definitely not uncomfortable.
