Would love to have the Spot Grips, but went much cheaper route with these Mad Spotters. They allow you to start dumbbells in a “racked” position for BP, Incline press, and shoulder press, alleviating the need for knee kick ups. They are made cheaply, but that reflects their price point. I threw together a photo example of them since I didn’t have a pic of them in use. The metal cradle holds your dumbbell and your grip envelopes both the Mad Spotters and dumbbell handles. They don’t fit many adjustable dumbbells. You have to get used to the grip feel. I use them with my Rogue DB-15 dumbbell and there is plenty of room to accommodate the Mad Spotters and for me to feel good about handling them.

Two dings - one on price point (but then again most Sorinex equipment sits at a premium price point) and second ding is that the handles (at this price point) were not knurled. Other than that, I loved these things. Easy to move to adjust width and even easier to adjust angle. I did sell these once I modded the Prime ROT8 pull-up station to fit onto my REP rack. Look at Rogue too for a version of these. If I would have kept them I would have had Jesse from JD Gym Equipped make some SS knurled goodness to fit over existing handles.

Another piece that I added to use with the RO-T8 handles is their landmine attachment. It’s nice because like the long and short bar, you can dial in the width that hits right for you. One thing I didn’t like that was mildly annoying was that I had to use some intermediate rotating connectors to get uninhibited rotation of the RO-T8 handles because the supplied carabiners would sometimes bind up in the holes in the landmine attachment. A knockoff version exists that is considerably less money and others have said it works perfectly - so it’s up to you. I liked their wall organizer so I purchased that too and modded it to be red.

This is another piece of mine made by Abmat but branded “Rogue”. This, along with my BC Strength Thruster Pad Bar, has made for quick hip thrust setup and also comfortable hip thrusts. Good value, durable, stays in place.

This is a mobility and recovery tool, that along with other modalities, is designed to help alleviate chronic pain. Specifically in the low back, hamstrings, calve and feet. It targets the posterior chain and fascia. It has a weighted, non-elastic design with a foot pouch/“hammock” that allows for solo deep, controlled, and safe stretching. It really helps to improve flexibility, posture, and circulation while reducing injury risk. It certainly can be effective for treating plantar fasciitis, sciatica, low back pain, and tight hamstrings/Achilles tendons. You get a deep fascial stretch for sure. It’s super portable and is another prehab tool that I use (for lower body), like my Crossover Symmetry bands targeting upper body.

These take pushups to another level. I can highly recommend utilizing these in anyone’s routine. In chest day I warm up with pushups using “normal” stabilized push-up handles. Then I switch over to these. They require tremendous recruitment of accessory muscles to provide stabilization. Sort of, but not the same as an Earthquake Barbell being unstable and requiring recruitment of accessory muscles to help stabilize the bar. There is not much to the construction of these. I suggest when you first try that you practice on your knees and on some carpet so you don’t hurt your hands/wrists or do a face plant if you have difficulty stabilizing these grips. When these first came out I purchased them and they were called NeuroGrips by a different company. But now CK Maceworks offers these. The finish is a rougher powder coat that takes chalk well.

This footplate is made from a solid sheet of 1.5 inch thick Virgin UHMWPE Polymer capable of handling loads up to 1000 lbs. it weighs 13lbs and is 24”x15”. There are four channels on the bottom of the footplate. Each channel is 4 Inches wide x 1/2 Inch deep for plenty of room to put your bands. The outer slots give you even more exercise options. Loop your bands through the slots on all four sides of the board. You can do unilateral exercise, bilateral exercises and more. They also work great for taking up extra slack in your bands. Even though I have the Clench Fitness band handles, I use it exclusively for banded deadlifts since I have no other way to secure bands. At $280 it’s pretty expensive for a hunk of UHMW, but it is made very well and does the trick for me.

Currently this unit is selling for $999. I purchase it when it was selling for $699 plus they were running a 20% off sale, which solidified my decision to incorporate this into my gym. Secondly, it has a nice small footprint 21x25x37”. A comparable unit would be TOG forearm trainer at $899 for black and $799 for a white version. The BeFitNow version is sturdier using 11 gauge steel with two lower foot braces (one under weight stack and the other under the forearm pad post. The handle is rubberized the machine selectorized stack going up to 154lbs. The total unit weighs 240lbs. The padding is nice, comfortable and supportive. I need to place my Abmat head stand push-up pad on top, not for lack of comfort, but rather obtain the best stretch at the bottom of curl. I have seen this unit, and the TOG one on Temu and AliBaba for a fraction of the cost, which also validates that these are white labeled products - that’s why I downgraded them for “value”. I also have a Death Strong Guillotine grip trainer on order and it will be great to have two forearm stations to easily cycle with hammer curls and reverse pronated curls on “arm” days to not neglect the forearms. PS, I removed the “BeFitNow” labeling and put a vinyl “Rogue” emblem on and suddenly it became “overbuilt” 😝
