made these plyo boxes super sturdy by layering 2x4s. I cut each 2x4 to 24", overlapped them, and used deck screws to hold them in place. Then I placed a 24" by 24" piece of plywood on top and added some horse stall mats for grip. I'm a heavy guy and wanted to be able to use them and try different exercises. In the photo, I used the blocks for a make-shift row.
