Its a Rope, only issue I had was plastic end started to come off after awhile. Not a deal breaker but no need to break the bank on a Battle Rope.

I had a hard time finding a treadmill that: 1. Had a big enough motor for long miles or higher user weight capacity so I know it will last 2. Did not require a membership or need to be connected to internet 3. In the $1000 or less price range (price may have increased since purchase date of 3 years ago) 4. Could fold for space savings This is a bare bones treadmill that hit all those marks. Only thing I did not like was the handle speed/incline adjustments as I will hit them should I get to close to the console changing the incline or speed slightly. Only other issue I had was running the wires through when assembling, it was better than some other devices I have had to to the same but always annoying.

Mine are at least 20 years old. Just had to refinish due to rusting after being in non climate controlled environment. Again, I am not sure how you can say weight plates do not perform. My only issue would be is if you are getting new ones off the site, I had flaking issues of the paint and no longer have those so, if buying new, I would spend same amount elsewhere, if buying used on a discount, they are fine.

Its Weight, its cheap weight. Only issue is if you are mix and matching or looking to do deadlifts, these are a smaller diameter in circumference than standard Olympic weight plates. Paint will chip, but if on a budget, they are fine.
