Dumbbell Bumpers

Dumbbell Bumpers

Designed for use with our Loadable Dumbbells, Rogue’s cylindrical Dumbbell Bumpers come in six weight increments (10LB, 15LB, 25LB, 35LB, 45LB, 55LB)—each measuring the same 230MM in diameter. This unique patent-pending design allows athletes to load on more weight, customized to their training level, while still maintaining the compact look and feel of a traditional dumbbell. While Rogue’s DB-10 and DB-15 Loadable Dumbbells are compatible with other Olympic plate options, our specialized Dumbbell Bumpers offer a new opportunity for a more centralized weight distribution and easier handling. Each Dumbbell Plate is also built to the same quality as our full-size Rogue Color Training Plates, with a tested Shore A durometer of 88, along with a chrome-plated insert and bright color finish. The weight tolerance is +/- 1%, and all plates include exclusive Rogue branding. Rogue DB Bumpers can also now be used with our specialized C-60B Barbell to create the benefits of traditional fixed bar training in a more space-efficient package.

I bought mine used, the new ones are expensive, but if you specifically need those they are worth it. I am not really dropping mine, but I like the most on these is the sizing makes them oversized almost like a circus dumbell to make the lift harder.

I like these little 10lb urethane plates just as general use change plates. They get used more for standard barbell movements and on my plate loaded cable tower than they do for the intended dumbbell loading. They're also nice for loading in a circus dumbbell.

I bought these via FB marketplace, with the intention of only buying the loadable dumbbells, 10s and 15s. I hit hit it off with the seller (prior military) and he ended up giving me a ridiculous deal for the full set. I thought they would just sit in my closet and I might resell them down the line. I've actually found myself getting a lot of good use out of them, I have fixed dumbbells 10s-35s and 50s. So I use them to make weights outside those numbers as well as an add on for my EZ curl bar (that work well for floor roll outs) and I switched to just using these for landmines that help increases the dynamic range of specific landmine workouts. Long story short, I'm holding on to these. They still live in my closet because I have storage space on my main floor.

These are a nice product, but incredibly unnecessary. I’ve sold off the 25’s and 15’s but have kept 2 pairs of 10’s and they get used a significant amount. I’ve to a hoard of 10’s and these make it into the mix. I don’t use them with the Rogue adjustable dumbbell though that’s the selling point. They are nice to look at and hold up well over time.

These are great for how much they weigh but they are small diameter. I don't use these for dumbbells but for my loadable ez curl bar. I want to have lots of weight options for my ez curl bar and this gives me lots of weight combinations for it.

Add up the widths of these for what you plan to do before you buy. By the time you add collars, you end out of sleeve length VERY quickly. They are only really useful in pretty narrow situations, so make sure you really need them before you make the investment.

I’m sorta skewed with these. I love these because they have allowed me to perform Olympic lifts in my basement despite a lower ceiling height. They also allow me to do standing OHP. When I have them on my Olympic bar, sitting on crash cushions, the starting floor pull is at same distance as with normal sized bumper plates, so that’s a plus as well. I utilize them with the Rogue DB -15 dumbbells and the C60-B straight bar made for dumbbell bumpers (for straight bar curls). I also use them on my CUBB because the sleeve collars on that are identically sized as the C-60B sleeve collars and the recess in the dumbbell bumpers fits perfectly over them - thereby increasing the usable sleeve space. Others may find these cumbersome and odd I imagine. But for me in my gym they are awesome.
