Rackable Camber Bar

Rackable Camber Bar

The Rackable Cambered Bar, a specialized Olympic barbell, is designed to alleviate wrist and shoulder strain, providing an extra boost of explosiveness in the posterior chain. As your weightlifting intensity increases, traditional barbells may cause shoulder discomfort. Beneficial for both beginners and enthusiasts, this cambered bar features a fully welded design with an 18-in. cambered drop for the weight sleeves, stabilizing your center of gravity and enhancing exercise safety. Whether used in bench presses, box squats, or good mornings, the hands rest on the upper part of the barbell, while the weight plates sit lower than a traditional barbell. This enhances traditional techniques, refines your physique, and introduces a unique stimulus to your workout.

This kind of barbell is very humbling. My buddy has this barbell in his gym and I've found it's not for me You need to make sure to tape the middle, as there is zero knurling on this Storage can be an issue, same with moving it around; the guys who I'd recommend this barbell too, are likely massive strongmen or do strongman style training, so it wouldn't be an issue for them If you're just a normal lifter, I'd suggest purchasing a different kind of specialty bar, like a SSB

This is a bar you definitely have to be careful with. 85 pounds and awkward means weird to move and hard to store well. I threw out my back and was down for 2 months just trying to move it off the wall. So be careful. Tape up the middle since there is no knurling anywhere on the bar. Mine is now stored low and safer now. The quality is definitely Titan quality. My first one showed up rusting and the finish flaking off the welds. We got that figured after a couple weeks of back and forth on the phone with a different person every time.

I have to knock a star off for performance because it’s almost impossible to move around the gym. I had this for a few years and love the camber action on box squats. It really messes up your balance and forces crazy focus on your core. I ended up swapping this bar for a set of Rogue monos and couldn’t have been happier. I’ve replaced this bar with a pair of camber attachments from StrongArm Sport - it feels nearly identical to having the camber bar but it’s not a starting weight of 85 pounds so much easier to move around and easier for athletes with lower range benches and squats to use it. The Titan bar is good for the money if you have the space as well as the desire/ability to move it all around.

This is a solid bar, quite literally! It weighs a hefty 85 lbs empty, and that can make it a pain in the butt to store. I thus wish it had a lighter starting weight. It also lacks any indication of a center, which is annoying but can be fixed via an athletic tape and ruler. I used to rotate it in occasionally into my squat sessions, but have since opted it out in favor of a ssb (Bells of Steel's SS4). I still find it valuable for suspended good mornings as well as overhead presses. As Big John mentioned in his review, due to the odd shape of the bar, spotter arms won't work as usual. However, one can loop monolift straps (or go the way of a DIY tow strap) over the top crossbeam of one's power rack to catch the bar in case of a failed lift.

Like others have said, it’s an awkward bar to move/store. It’s a solid bar and keeps me honest with my bar path so I keep it around. I picked this up used and couldn’t imagine paying the current retail or even sale price for this. If you can find a good deal on the used market that’s the route to go. Could be just me but I haven’t figured out a way to set up spotters arms with this bar. Something to consider if you have a similar set up

You're going to need chalk. A lot of chalk. Before walking this bar out, chalk. After you rack it, chalk. There is no such thing as over chalking this behemoth. Either you use chalk or you're going to have to wrap this bar up with goat tape or use one of those shirts with the non slip fabric. Otherwise, this bar is going to get all loosey goosey on you. If you don't mind having chalk all over the place, then this bar is for you. Honestly, it's a great bar, set a great price point, and the one that I got from Titan came unbranded with a sticker that you could put on to say Titan but honestly, if you're chalking it up, don't even bother tossing that sticker on. I'm almost getting to the point where I can't straight bar squat due to shoulder issues and using a Camber bar like this relieves all that pressure. Plus, with all specialty bars, this will add variety to your weekly lifts. If you're a first time user of this bar, it will swing on you and it will take some time getting used too. Only when you're confident on this bar and start to load this bar up will you begin to find your groove. It is also heavier than your standard Olympic bar. So, exercise caution at first. My only gripe with this bar is purely through an aesthetic lens. As with most things Titan, the welds are gross and the coating isn't consistent. I will say that the packaging was amazing though. Since you're going to chalk this Cadillac up anyway, the aesthetics really don't matter. Get swole, stay jacked, hydrate, shut up and squat.

This is one of the bars I hope to add to my gym soon. I used to use one of these at the gym up the street. It can be very humbling.

I’ve used this in a gym I’ll sometimes visit. Always wanted something like this after watching too many EliteFTS videos. This one is similar to others in the market but usually more affordable bc it’s Titan. It will humble you, which can be a good thing. Non existent Titan branding, which is a better thing.

If you want to feel like a man reverse band box squatting 290lbs with chains, get this bar. I don’t think it’s legal to free squat with this bar. Make sure you load it with 25lb bumpers so it looks like you have a 405+ squat. This is the GOAT for heavy goodmornings, something about the weight being able to swing forward makes that movement so much better feeling. It does feel great on squats, and is in heavy rotation with SSB and Duffalo style bars. Get an extra set of jcups or darko anchors for storage. Getting this bar in and out of the rack is the worst part.

I currently own the Rogue CB-1, but in my use this feels exactly like that bar. If you want a camber bar for squats get this one because you will save some money. It is VERY heavy and awkward so getting it set up can be thing to give some thought. It can also be challenging to store since it is wide and long. Give storage some thought before you buy.
