I’ve compared these side by side to the MAGS and the angles are proper and essentially identical. The overall quality of the pieces is not as nice, but you would never know unless you had them side by side. They feel the same for each movement. These have proven to be just as durable as well and I’ve never had an issue with the coating or attachment point. You can get the full set for the price of two MAGs. Most people don’t need the full set and would settle on a few favs - same is true with original MAGs. There are a bunch of knock-offs out there, but they have different angles, sizes, poor quality. These are the best that I have seen and you can’t go wrong ordering these via Amazon where you can try and decide with free returns and free shipping.

I think having a dedicated chalk stand is not needed in a small home gym. There are many other rack mounted chalk bowls available that do the trick and don’t take up the floor space. My chalk bowl/stand has multiple attachments that serve to hang my deadlift socks, headband, sleeves and wrist wraps to dry out between uses. So it serves two purposes. It’s a solid beast but the value isn’t there. Rogue sent a total of 4 of them to me (because the first three that were sent had the pieces just thrown in the box with construction paper. In transit every piece including the bowl was all scratched up). Each time I would receive them I’d call Rogue, ask for a replacement and ask that they put a note on new re-order to ensure they properly wrap the pieces to protect from marring and scratching, to no avail.

I’ve had a few iterations of these. If I’m not mistaken the Oak Clubs were the first to come out with Magpins? Do I jumped aboard and bought a bunch (stainless steel heads and black aluminum heads). They are made very well. A better option would be Fringe Sport, Force6 Fitness or Vendetta. Those are more ergonomic to remove with a better way to grab head. Those options are also far less expensive. I can’t recommend these any longer.

Do not order the Large size, the Med is plenty big, unless you have the mitts of a giant. I would love to have these with a different mechanism to connect vs. the supplied straps (which work OK and allow for positioning the handles in a different orientation). I have seen some guys get a custom Belt Fed Strength rotational D handle configuration that looked awesome. I do love these for fat grip option on my functional trainer. Another reviewer said “you are either going to love these or hate these”. I’m on the love side of things. They feel great in hand and in use.

As with most Sorinex stuff, this is a tank. I didn’t have to spend as much on the entire setup because I just used my Rogue Trolley Arm to connect the actual JSquat mechanism to. This let me get even more “mileage” out of my trolley arms too. The kickstand is robust and the plate horns with their angulation and length let me stack plates without these of collars. It has the ability to mount wall or rack and have a pop-pin release when you want to bring it down to use it, but I have no space for that and need to use the front of my rack (it’s only a 4 post). It’s pretty pricey and the lead times can be slow with Sorinex.

To be able to have the form factor of a regular dumbbell with the quick weight change method of a rotating handle make these a top contender in any gym where space for a full set of dumbbells doesn’t exist. I purchased these with the branded stand and I also added the Microgainz magnetic 1.25lb adders that look as if Nuobell made them themselves. I had mine for 3 full years without a problem - - - with the mechanism or with seating them in their cradle. But every set performed I always had to keep in the back of my mind to “be careful, don’t drop these, set these down gently”. Their internal mechanisms are delicate. That’s the last thing that I want to be thinking about when pushing to failure. The extended warranty I think would be a worthwhile addition for someone making a new purchase. I was able to sell my set last month for $750. I have since ordered the MX EVO 100.

Another Top Notch Offering from Force6 Fitness Force 6 Fitness' RESISTANCE BAND ATTACHMENT / POWER RACK ATTACHMENT is yet another example of this company's refined fit and finish. With the rotating carabiner connection heads, these offer smooth rotational movement with an amazingly high quality finish. I have a high and low positioned set to use with my Crossover Symmetry program. Pricey, but the best out there IMHO

These are a small ”sleeper” component to a functional trainer. Most people are unaware they exist. But these make drop sets super speedy and effortless. Can’t get any faster as they self - disengage and pop out from weight stack. I got 6 red ones and they get used almost every day. They are not expensive, easy to store and reliable. Can’t recommend them enough.
