I have an older version of this machine with the same part number, and this review reflects my experiences with it. Overall it’s a great unit. I’d like it more if it had a calf pad instead of a heel catch, but the adjustability, height, and stability make up for it. It has 4 adjustable angles to do extensions emphasizing different muscles, is made of thick 2x2 steel, and offers a lot of adjustment. I can do back extensions with a heavy barbell and it doesn’t budge, and gives you plenty of ROM to do so. I might eventually get a wide footplate and an adjustable calf roller fabricated for this unit, since the footplate just bolts on/off. But for now, I plan to have it in my gym for a long time.

I have the half rack version of this, but sorinex makes a great rack. The welded side panels and quality fit and finish make this thing rock solid. Would highly recommend picking up for a home gym if you can find a deal on one used. However, it’s hard to justify the cost over the competition if you aren’t a professional facility or paid gym.

Picking up rocks makes you a well rounded lifter. Would highly recommend finding a rock, and picking it up. Bonus points are awarded if the rock is cool or in a cool location!

In my opinion, this GHD is easily a strong candidate for being the best on the market. The tilted pad, stable base, and wide footplate make this GHD have better design details than most others in its class. The pad angle makes GHRs harder and more loadable over time. The wide footplate lets you perform GHD sit ups with a nice wide base. Overall, when most GHDs are the same, this one stands out above the crowd. I had to sell mine to accommodate a GHD/Reverse hyper combo, and I still think about having to part ways with it. If interested in getting one and you plan to do 90degree hyper extensions though, make sure you get a split pad. Otherwise, the one-piece pad is really nice and stable for GHRs and sit ups.

A great single leg roller. Freely spins, it came in my gym’s preferred colors, and is a great XL size. My biggest complaints are that while it spins very freely, it it’s still quite noisy. Also, the padding is quite dense/hard, which probably just allows it to hold up better in high traffic weightrooms/etc. However, it could be a little more comfortable. Overall, it’s a great piece!

Great bar for both rows and extra range of motion bench. It’s probably the highest quality bar for this purpose currently on the market. I deduct one star because the bar is 17kg instead of 20kg, and there are no knurl marks on the bar to gauge hand placement. With these two improvements, this would be incredibly hard to beat.

Great small plyo box to use for box squats. They really nailed the size, weight, and heights for this thing. For the price, it really can’t be beat!

Power Lift equipment is generally some of the best on the market. It’s overbuilt, smooth, and is built to work with athletes of all sizes. This pulley unit is no exception, being made of very thick steel and large, smooth pulleys. If interested in getting one of these, disassembly is a must, as even without the weight stack this machine is incredibly heavy. I have the wall mounted version that I converted to a standalone unit by mounting it to support beams, replicating the standalone unit but with a more compact frame. I’d definitely recommend this unit if you can find it used out of a college weight room, but it’s probably not worth ordering from the manufacturer if you aren’t a professional facility.
