While these certainly didn't have the cool factor of the original roundhead dumbbells, the current "gen 2" legacies are a solid option for an all metal dumbbell. Gen1 legacies (pictured) had some fairly major quality control issues, especially on the larger sizes where hollow voids were pretty common. That said, York introduced some nice quality of life features on the legacy dumbbells like thicker, knurled handles and size offerings above 100 lbs.

Really solidly built grip implement. I wouldn't recommend this (or most grip implements for that matter) for general grip strength, but this is a fun piece of kit for a contest. Bought this recently for an upcoming contest, but I've used this before at a friend's place

I've used this handle a number of times, and you simply won't find a higher quality grip implement. The 2.25" crusher with bearings, in particular, is the gold standard of rolling handles. It spins very freely, takes chalk nicely, and it's built like a tank. Very heavy duty. It's a little on the pricey side, and the ordering process is a bit weird, otherwise 5 stars.

Recently added this to my gym, and it's already one of my favorite grip toys. Luke from Arm Assassin made me a custom extra long version of the 2" variation. This is a great DOH axle accessory as it moves the weight farther from your wrist, making it significantly harder to hold on to even at lighter weights. Really nice option for wrist curls as well. Feels a bit odd marking these 5 stars for value, but you simply won't find a better price on this style of dumbbell than the ones from Zach Staniewicz. Knocked off a star on quality due to some variance in actual weights vs stated weights. Photo still includes the manufacturing residue. These are freshies.

These are fine. They came with the adonis which was a nice inclusion. The chrome finish is pretty cheap and prone to chipping or even peeling
