I think the whole concept of making it "competition standard" defeats the whole purpose of the fat pad? Which boils it down to someone just wanting either a grippy pad or a squishy one (which is not great for heavy benching). After having used this one and a regular fat pad I don't find either particularly grippy

Awesome plates but unless you're getting them for them being low profile, I think there's cheaper options out there. If you're getting them as powerlifter you might as well just get the kilo plates so its more similar to competition standards

We have a couple 10lb ones that my wife likes to use for oly lift stuff. They've held up well for years now, but obviously since they're only 10lb plates they do flex a bit when being dropped but I think thats expected
