The EZ bar fairy dropped this off the day we inaugurated the new gym in our house. Rogue sent me this bar free because many months ago I contacted them asking about raw and stainless options. Craziest stroke of luck I've had in years really. I've now owned every finish of Rogue's curl bar and this is easily my favorite. It's the same bar, just stainless. The sleeves are very nearly smooth, very tight tolerances, precise knurl (ohio bar knurl), and shiinnyyyy. This is the first standard length curl bar I've had in several years and I must say the difference in feel between it and a rackable bar is less than I remember. Compared to the Gungnir curler this bar has slightly less aggressive knurl and slightly more gentle corners and handle angles. Both are excellent, but I think the Gungnir bar offers a slightly better value due to the built in collars. The difference in shaft diameter, knurl, and bends could come down to personal preference. Not sure I could really recommend either of those bars due to the price, but they are both awesome. Rogue is a little cheaper I think considering international shipping for Gungnir, and it's USA made. I imagine very few people will buy these and it won't stick around forever. Probably a collectors item more than anything.

I use this on my VTS setup instead of the BPF feather bar. Great knurl and same high quality finish as Rogue's barbells. I'm sure this would be a good practice bar or starter bar for new lifters who aren't ready for a 45# bar.

Bought mine during a blowout sale after the initial release debacle if anybody remembers that. Still, with extra handles it was around 500 bucks. Great bar, but not worth the cost for very many people I'd say. The widest grip is about 4 inches (2" per side) narrower than the equivalent EFTS bars, so if that may be something to consider as well. I modded mine to get wider handles but that's a bit silly. I recommend the shirt sleeve variant to save weight

I've had boneyard Bella, Ohio, curl, and power bars. Maybe more. I've had good luck and mostly couldn't tell they were factory seconds. Great choice for a first bar.

The classic cheapo EZ bar gets it done every time. No knurl, seized up sleeves, chipping chrome - none of it matters when the bar is 20 bucks lol. Get you one and get curling.

I love the bends on this bar and being rackable just makes it a breeze to load. Slight trade off as it's also a little more cumbersome to use and move around compared to std length curl bars. Avoid the e-coat at all costs unless you've tried an e-coat bar and know you like it. I've owned both the e-coat and cerakote and it's night and day between them, and the cerakote isn't really ideal either. E-coat can be stripped with industrial paint stripper if you're feeling brave...

If you have persistent or even occasional lower back pain you might want to try a reverse hyper. The scout is compact and reasonably heavy duty. If you're trying to progressively overload your reverse hypers it will probably wobble, but at lighter weights, around 2 plates per side or less, it's totally fine. It's a life saver at times for sure.

Great bar that I think most people should own if they have the space and ability to squat. I had a clone of this bar from marketplace that I bought a rep pad for and it was great. Lunges and split squats are much easier with an SSB and you need an SSB to do Hatfield variations as well.
