In a world where everyone argues over aluminum or plastic pulleys, this plastic pulley allows for a high point change of direction for my triceps extensions. It works great, and in spud inc fashion, a little more sturdy than the DIY pulley it replaced

This bar is solid overall. The camber is good and the sleeves are nice and smooth. Minus one star for build quality as the knurling isn’t the best. It’s pretty passive and could use more bite.

Mine is just an old air tight dog food bin. The seal keeps the moisture out, which is huge in the Midwest where humidity can turn chalk into clumps pretty quick

I built the Kaizen DIY toaster rack from his YouTube video. It’s simple and effective. It keeps my plates organized and fits perfectly in an otherwise random section of my gym. Solid for what it is and customizable to fit your plates exactly.

These Weider 20kg plates arn’t anything special, just the first plates I ever trained with. Basic, solid, and they got the job done. Nothing fancy, but they built the foundation.

This 2002 Louie Simmons original reverse hyper is the real deal. No frills, just built to make you stronger. The swing is smooth but unforgiving. It’s got that old-school Westside feel you can’t fake. I’ve made a few minor mods to keep it practical. 3D printed foot pad risers so it takes 45s on the weight horns, fresh bike grips from a local shop, and swapped the bottom bolt for a hitch pin to quickly change from the roller attachment to a reverse hyper strap. It’s surprisingly versatile too. I can sit on top for leg extensions, use the roller for lying leg curls, clip on a triceps strap for rows or face pulls, and of course run it as intended with roller or strap for reverse hypers. Newer machines might look nicer, but they don’t have the same history or character. This one works.

A local industrial supplier near me was able to sell 5-foot sections of 5/8” chain, weighing about 20 lbs a piece. On their website you can choose from different finishes of chain to find exactly what you’re looking for. These are bare steel and rust easily. If you’re anywhere near Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, or Michigan, and need chain, McMaster-Carr should be your go to.

It’s a huge upgrade that makes belt squatting on the mammoth feel way more stable and controlled. It’s solid and gives you a better bracing point. I won’t be belt squatting without it now.
