These are my first exposure to roller J Hooks. I have to say I’m hooked and no pun intended. Like it’s so nice to push the barbell side to side to line it up for a lift. I workout in a small shed so I push the barbell over to the other side when I’m on one side of the rack which is nice. They have the typical messy welds from BoS but the are functional and work well. These are specific to my BoS light commercial rack that has unique 2.3”x2.3” uprights, so these are basically my only option. I’m sure one day when I upgrade my rack that I will replace these with better ones, but I have a big appreciation for these now. The biggest con is that it doesn’t really have anything to protect your barbell and has a lip on the front, but that hasn’t been an issue since I have a beater barbell and can clear the lip since it’s within my working weight range so not sure why that would be a big issue. Get some roller J hooks - they are awesome.

These are controversial because they are SO good. I hated adjustable dumbbells until I tried these. The knurling is better than most if not all dumbbells I have ever used. The competitors have passive knurling that is usually rubber or plastic. These also feel much more balanced- other adjustable dumbbells like the NuoBells and Trulaps are so long- like super unwieldy. These are much more compact. They are very durable- you could throw them around no issue. I don’t typically throw or drop my weights, but if you get in a spot where you need to you don’t have to worry about an accident, which is probably the case and point for me. The change system and the adder plates are probably where these get knocked by others but I think the good far outweighs the bad here. You have to add the 2.5lb plates by hand, but I have never worried about them falling out. Yes, it rattles when they are in if you are doing something like lateral raises. Also, the change system is fast- I will say it’s hard to tell which weight you are selecting initially, but you start to get it once you use them. Also you have to dial in the cradle width to make sure it’s possible to rerack every time with no issues like ever. But it does require patience and is a pain to dial in initially but once it’s set you’re golden…until you upgrade another 20lbs like I did and have to do it again lol. 125lbs is overkill, but 105lbs is my sweet spot right now and what I have. It’s cool that you can upgrade over time. These are ridiculously expensive. Like I would never tell my friends that aren’t in this space that I spent this much on a pair of dumbbells. But they are the best out there in my opinion. And I sold my set of 5-45lb fixed dumbbells for the same price I bought these for initially ($900 - 85lb set) and these take up significantly less space and have a much larger range.

This is a no brainer if you like to do deadlift, barbell rows, Romanian deadlifts, or hip thrusts. It makes changing the plates so much easier on you and doesn’t take up any space. There are plenty of knock offs that do the same thing and heck you can build one out of wood. I just like the look and it’s got the nice touches that protect your barbell. I can’t imagine life without it, so if not this one then get an Amazon one for half the cost that does the same thing (check out RitFit).

Rep knocked it out of the park with these. I mean at the end of the day it’s a cast iron kettlebell and it’s hard to mess up, but they have a nice texture for grip (similar to what you may see at a commercial gym). The color coding makes it easy to see which one you are going for. I bought this in a set that jumps every 4kg, which is what most people say to do. I will say that I typically just grab the largest, but it would be nice to have 28kg. Like it’s one short for a good range, but they got it on their site. I just haven’t wanted to drop $200+ on a single kettlebell when I’m not a big kettlebell guy. My wife loves them and the range is right in her sweet spot and she was the one that actually pushed for them, so who am I to stop that 👀 😂 I wanted to do an adjustable kettlebell, but I hated the Allen key option and the cheap plastic knobs or odd shapes. The Freak Athlete looks cool, but I do like the solid feeling of a kettlebell and doesn’t take up as near as much space as a rack of dumbbells. I say that to call out that I think it’s worth going for adjustable dumbbells for space savings but the space saving on a handful of kettlebells is nothing to write home about.

This is such a versatile attachment and I can’t overstate how comfortable the material is. Like it’s super durable but it feels soft on the hands. I have used this for curls, tricep extensions, overhead tricep extensions, face pulls, and cable crunches. It’s only $40-$50 and could probably replace 80% of cable attachments in your gym. I can’t really think of something to make it better, so get it and 5 stars.

Honestly for what these are, I have minimal complaints. They are a fair price, they are comfy to wear and they seem durable. The Velcro is strong enough to support my working weight on the cable system. My wife uses them a ton with her friend and they are a great way to get some variability for leg day on the cheap. The reality is that it is so hard to find new things to do on leg day, but I will lay face down on my bench and hook into my cable stack and do leg curls. I know some people do standing leg curls too but I prefer the lying curls. It’s also good for taking your grip out of certain lifts, but I don’t use it much for that. It’s not the best if you wear short socks, like it doesn’t feel as good sitting right on your skin, but if you got some longer socks then it’s not a problem.

Since I have the BoS light commercial rack (2.3”x2.3” uprights), these were the only option for weight horns on the rack. Otherwise, I would have needed to mount them on studs or have a weight tree. They have the typical bad welds from BoS, but they are functional. The sleeve is smooth so it won’t scratch up your plates. They are sturdy and work great for holding up Olympic weights. I can fit 5 45lb urethane plates on one sleeve. If you have a 4-post rack you will have to be mindful of the 45lb plates that are stored on the rack when you are bench pressing. But that’s more a problem with only having a 4-post rack.

I didn’t even know this was marketed as a pull up bar- I have always used this to hold my legs down for lat pull downs. I have that pad that slides right over the bar and brace my knees under it for lat pull downs. It works like a champ for that purpose. For pull ups, the bar would not be the best due to the lack of any texture on the bar. The welds leave a little more to be desired, and the pins are alright- would be nice to have mag pins or something. About what you would expect for a BoS product- it gets the job done.
